Featured Flower
The Amaryllis is the flower after which our company is named.
- Botanical name: Hippeastrum.
- Country of Origin: Central and
South America
.
- The amaryllis grows from a bulb and throws up long shoots carrying three or four spectacular, trumpet shaped flowers which can be cut and used in floral displays.
- Colours range from almost pure white through pinks and reds to the deepest, rich, velvety tones.
- They come as single coloured and in variegations and striped forms.
- It is seasonal, only readily available as a cut flower between October and February.
- It lasts well as a cut flower having a vase life of up to 10 days in the opening stage and a further week once fully open. The addition of bulb flower food is recommended to ensure the buds open. Keep away from cold and handle with care.
- It gives dramatic impact on its tall stems in corporate or home arrangements or with just the heads worked into bridal bouquets.
